2016年力久团队接收委托，就汽车柴油发动机高压共轨技术领域的专利竞争格局和态势进行分析，为四川省该技术领域的创新主体在立项节点提供情报支持，识别专利陷阱、指出专利研发方向，把专利运用嵌入产业技术创新、产品创新、组织创新和商业模式创新之中。
该项目主要结论及建议：德国博世、日本电装、美国卡特彼勒、日本丰田、德国曼恩为共轨领域龙头企业，整体技术布局均以电路设置、喷射器、高压泵和共轨管路为主；电路设置、共轨管路、喷射器和高压泵是国外来华专利布局的热点技术领域；压电元件、尾气净化以及喷射测试（故障检测）等是相对的专利布局空白点；德国博世、美国卡特彼勒、日本电装、日本京瓷、大陆汽车、日本洋马、德国MTU、菲亚特旗下马涅蒂马瑞利、日本丰田以及德尔福是国外来华的主要专利申请人；中国一汽、潍柴动力、中国重汽、北汽集团是国内主要专利申请企业；天津大学和哈尔滨工程大学为国内重点研究机构，可作为四川企业合作研发的参考对象。
